When we arrived in Helsinki we had lunch at Unicafe after that we had free time for about 2 hours. At 2 pm we went to Kiasma ( a museum of contemporary art ). After visiting Kiasma we went to eat at MacDonald's. At around 5 pm we headed back to the airport.

In the workshop we had to make art from the materials that the guide gave us

The whole school reads day on April 9, 2019

Today we had the whole school reads day, in other words, everyone reads     a book for an hour.

Everyone brought their own book or borrowed a book from their teachers.

The vice chairman of our school's schoolboard held a morning assembly, where she told about Mikael Agricola and the importance of reading.

Shrovetide in Finland

Shrovetide was celebrated on March 3rd, 2019. In  Finland people eat Shrove buns.
Shrove Tuesday is not a public holiday,  so you’ still have lectures!

The Shrove Tuesday bun, or ‘ laskiaispulla‘ in Finnish, is a special type of bun made just for this occasion by filling a traditional Finnish bun with whipped cream and either raspberry jam or almond paste. Both types of filling have their  supporters. We recommend you to try both, and decide for yourself!

Skiing trip to Iso-Syöte 12.3.

Hey ! 12th of March we went skiing to Iso-Syöte. If you did not like skiing, you could stay at school.
The bus left early in the morning and everyone was tired but excited. We do this trip almost every year and it is fun. We slept, talked, listened music and ate packed lunch. The ride lasted 2-3 hours and about 10 o`clock we were there. The weather was better than last year: Sun shone and there was a few degrees frost.
First we went to take tickets and if you needed to rent something, you did that. Everyone had so much fun and the teachers too ! (hopefully)
We ate sausages and pizza what we got from school and it tasted good because everything tastes good in outside. There was restaurant, too where you could buy hamburgers for example.

About 5pm we had to leave and return our skiing gear. Everybody was snowy and somebody was cold. We left home and three hours went fast. The day was really fun and I hope next year we go again ! <3
